What a notice page shows

Each notice in the catalog has a public detail page. The information shown comes directly from the data published by the original source — RFPfit is a discovery layer, not the authoritative version of the notice.

A typical notice page includes:

  • Title — the notice title as published by the source
  • Buyer (procurement) or Funder (grant) — who is buying or awarding
  • Jurisdiction — federal, provincial, or municipal
  • Category — the service-area category assigned by RFPfit's classification
  • Source — which open-data source the notice came from
  • Published — when the notice was first published
  • Closes (procurement) or Application window (grant) — the closing deadline
  • Last updated — when the notice content last actually changed (see below)
  • Public summary — a plain-language description if one was published with the notice
  • A link to view the official notice on the source portal

Grant notices also show the amount range (if published) and intake type — rolling intake is shown as a badge.

Status: open, closed, and cancelled

The status badge (Open, Closed, Cancelled) reflects what the source itself currently reports. A notice marked Closed or Cancelled has passed its deadline or been withdrawn at the source — RFPfit updates its status when the source does.

Deadlines are shown in the source's time zone

Closing deadlines are displayed in the time zone published by that source, not UTC. For example, a CanadaBuys notice with an Eastern time closing hour shows that time in Eastern time. This matches what you would see on the official portal and avoids confusion about cut-off times.

What "Last updated" means

The Last updated date shows when the notice's content last actually changed — not when RFPfit last checked the source. A notice that has been open and unchanged for weeks correctly shows an older date. This is intentional: it tells you whether the notice has been amended recently, which is more useful than a "last checked" cadence.

What you get with a free account

Signed-in members see a shortlist control on every notice page to save the notice to the organization's shared watchlist. That is the only additional element visible to signed-in members on the public notice page — full Fit Intelligence and the "Should we bid?" scorecard are Pro features. See Free vs. Pro.

The official portal is always authoritative

RFPfit's notice page is a discovery surface. The full documents, amendments, submission instructions, and official closing time all live on the source portal. Use the View the official notice link on every page to get to the authoritative version before bidding or applying.
