The public catalog
The catalog at /opportunities lists open Canadian public-sector procurement notices and grant opportunities scoped to creative, communications, research, and nonprofit-adjacent work. No account is required to browse it.
Searching and filtering
At the top of the catalog page you will find a filter form with the following controls:
- Keyword — searches notice titles, buyer or funder names, and public summaries
- Status — defaults to Open; also supports Upcoming, Closed, and All
- Source — filter to a single data source (CanadaBuys, SEAO, City of Toronto, or any grant funder source)
- Category — a grouped set of service-area categories (creative, communications, research, and so on)
- Closing on or after / Closing on or before — date-range bounds for the closing deadline
A segmented control above the filter form lets you switch between All, Procurement, and Grants — this preserves your other active filters while changing the type.
Press Apply to run your search with the current settings.
Category index
Browse by service area from /categories. Each category group links directly to the catalog pre-filtered for that scope. This is a useful starting point if you are not sure what keyword to use.
Active filter chips
When filters are applied, each active filter appears as a chip above the results. Click any chip to remove that filter. A Clear all link clears every filter at once. Each chip is a plain link — no JavaScript required to remove a filter.
Pagination
Results are paginated. Use the Previous and Next links at the bottom of the page to move between pages. Your active filters are preserved across pages.
Shortlisting from the catalog
If you are signed in, each notice card shows a shortlist control. You can save a notice to your organization's shared watchlist directly from the catalog without opening the full notice page. See Saved searches and email digests for how to get alerted when new matches appear.
