The deadline calendar
The deadline calendar at /app/calendar shows upcoming closing dates for your organization's shortlisted notices. It has two views:
- Month view — a standard calendar grid showing your deadlines in the Toronto calendar month
- Agenda view — a chronological list of the next 120 days of deadlines
Use the navigation links at the top of the page to switch between views and move between months.
What appears on the calendar
The calendar shows two types of entries:
- Shortlist items — any notice your organization has saved, tagged as "maybe," or marked as "pursuing" appears with its status badge. Every member's shortlist activity is included.
- Strong-fit matches — if your organization has an active RFPfit Pro subscription, open opportunities that match your fit profile are also surfaced on the calendar (toggleable with the "Shortlist only / Show strong-fit matches" control).
Each entry links to the notice's detail page in the app.
Deadlines follow the source's time zone
Closing times are shown in the source's published time zone, not in Toronto time. The calendar grid itself follows the Toronto calendar day, so a notice that closes at midnight Eastern time lands on the correct calendar day. See Understanding Notice Pages for more on how deadlines work.
Calendar app feed (ICS)
You can subscribe to your deadline calendar from Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, Outlook, or any calendar app that supports ICS feeds.
On the /app/calendar page, scroll to the Calendar app feed section and click Create feed link. This generates a private URL — anyone holding it can read your deadline list, so treat it like a password.
- Regenerate link — creates a new URL; the old one stops working immediately
- Revoke link — permanently deactivates the URL (it returns 404); use this if the link leaks
The ICS feed is a personal link. Your organization members each have their own separate feed URL.
7/3/1-day email reminders
For any notice your organization marks as "pursue" on the shortlist, RFPfit can send you email reminders 7, 3, and 1 day before it closes.
Reminders are off by default. To turn them on, go to /app/digests and click Turn on deadline reminders. This records your express consent. Turning reminders on is independent of your digest email subscription — you can have one without the other.
The unsubscribe link in any reminder email withdraws both your reminder opt-in and your digest email opt-in at once. You can also manage both settings at any time from /app/digests.
